Positions: 1 Master student and 1 PhD student

Project 1: Study of the involvement of astrocytes in ALS.

Project 2: Study of the involvement of the extracellular matrix in ALS.

Dr. Silvia Pozzi is looking to recruit highly motivated students who want to join her laboratory in the Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience division of the CERVO Research Centre in Quebec City.

Candidates will conduct biochemical, molecular biology, imaging and behavioral studies in animals as well as in cell culture models (immortalized and primary).

Candidates must have a bachelor's/master's degree in one of the related scientific fields to be considered for this position.

Welcome to the 2025 Italian Free Movers students!

In July, the lab hosted two talented students from Italy who won the Free Movers fellowship to join us.

Luca and Alessandro were selected to conduct experiments on a project in collaboration between our lab and the Dr. Laura Tapella's lab at the Italian Universitá del Piemonte Orientale (UPO).

Congratulations Amélie!

On April 7th, Amélie Poulin-Brière defended remarkably her PhD thesis titled: "Immunothérapies ciblant la protéine TDP-43 pour traiter la pathogenèse transmise par le liquide cérébrospinal de patients atteints de la sclérose latérale amyotrophique".

Great week of science in Montreal!

After a five-year stop due to the pandemic, the André Delambre Symposium returned to bring together the most renowned ALS researchers. The event was held in Montreal few days before the 35th International Symposium on ALS/MND.

We were proud to participate as a laboratory to both events and and present our research with four different posters.

Congratulations to Amélie for winning the BEST POSTER Award at the André Delambre Symposium.

Kudos to Aurore who volunteered during both events.
